Protective Mesh For Church Windows
At Glasswood we have the experience to make sure you get the right type of protection for your church’s valuable stained glass windows. Working to the Guidelines of English Heritage we can help you to choose the right solution to protect the stained glass without damaging the fabric of the building.
We can help you ensure that your beautiful stained glass windows will be safe for the next generation to enjoy.
Many churches have benefited from our experience in stained glass protection. We have helped them to identify the windows most at risk and offer suggestions as to the best method to protect them. We also have a Church window restoration service along with church window protective mesh installation covering Somerset Dorset Devon Wiltshire.
We have protected the stained glass windows on many historic and grade 1, Grade 2 star and Grade 2 listed buildings and churches.
We Use Polycarbonate screens
An alternative is to install purpose made poly-carbonate screens. These screens are often preferred where the glazing is clear, such as fine etched glass, where the mesh option would detract from the view of the window. They are held in place by stainless steel brackets and are ultra violet protected.
